Self Expression Through Object

Reflection is my self representation through subjective art. It represents my comedic side which most of the time will hurt people's feeling because it's too harsh and direct. That symbolized through the joker's hat and the pain through the thorns around it.

From this project, I learned to express myself freely through art. I also understand the processes of design and lastly, I understand the communication of art through drawings.

Life Capsule

Project 2

Mi Casa, our life capsule, was built by a group of 6 students. The purpose of this 1:1 was for our client which is an architect student. The life capsule is for her to getaway from the hectic enviroment of the studio. The location of the capsule is by the lake of Taylor's Lakeside University.

What I learned from this project was the team building skill, where everyone of us had to work together or else the work itself wouldn't have any progress. Secondly, I've improved my time management skills. This is because we only had a week after our interim to do our 1:1 life capsule and we managed to finish it despite of the problems that we faced. Lastly, I have learned the fundementals of designing big objects. In this case, our capsule wasn't standing straight due to its weak structure. We had to balanced it with poles and it solved the problem.

Project 3

For Project 3(A), we were assigned in a group of 3 to select a movie with clear architecture settings of the city or landscape. For my group, we chose Batman, The Dark Knight Rises. We chose the setting that the city was destroyed by the villain, Bane. So we picked 2 buildings that were a ghetto building and a power plant, which both of them ar abandoned. The special part of our site model is that it has an underground escape for the client to run in case of an emergency.

In this part of the project, I built a hide out that satisfies John Lennon's characteristics and needs.

What I learned from this project is firstly, I have improved my skills on making research on my client. Secondly, I also have learned to santisfy the client's needs by being the client myself and imagine myself in that space.
