In a group of 5, we were taken to a field trip to Singapore where we were given a particular building to study about. We had gotten Indian Heritage Centre, which was designed amazingly, in form of aesthetics and sustainability. Firstly we had to study the orientation of the building on which side of the building is exposed to sunlight and how it is tackled through passive design (i.e: sun shading, low e-glass, louvers etc.). After we got back, we had to compile all the details in graphs and tables where we had given lectures on. 

 

Through this assignment, I had learn about basic design strategies to achieve comfort level in buildings so that I could apply it in my design studio projects in the future and not to forget real buildings when I'm in the architecture industry.
